The Australian Grand Prix
Lando Norris mastered treacherous, changing conditions to win the Australian Grand Prix and put himself in contention for the world title. It was a remarkable race that featured multiple crashes, three safety car periods and two aborted starts.
Ferrari made the wrong call in putting Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on dry-weather slicks during the heavy rain that hit the track, and they dropped to the bottom of the top 10 — as confirmed in the latest f1 results.
Mercedes’ 18-year-old Italian rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli fought back from 16th on the grid, demoted five seconds for an unsafe release at pit stops, to finish fourth with Williams’ Alex Albon in fifth.
The British Grand Prix
The British Grand Prix is one of the most iconic races on the Formula 1 calendar. Held at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire England, it has been a key fixture since F1’s inaugural season back in 1950.
As the lights went out it was George Russell in the lead ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. But the Mercedes team-mate ran wide into Abbey on lap 19 allowing Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to pass them both with Norris dropping back behind his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri.
Nico Hulkenberg finished sixth for Haas ahead of Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso, Alex Albon and Yuki Tsunoda (RB). Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez both missed out on points as they were demoted to the back of the grid.
The French Grand Prix
The French Grand Prix has a rich history in motorsport. It is home to milestone car brands such as Renault and it’s held in front of vast midsummer crowds.
The first French GP to be held after World War II was won by Sweden’s Ronnie Peterson in his Lotus with South Africa’s Jody Scheckter in his Lotus finishing second. Brazil’s Nelson Piquet drove a Brabham to third place.
In the 2022 race Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton won the French GP driving his powerhouse Mercedes leaving championship challenger Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari in second. The race was canceled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and returned in 2021.
The Italian Grand Prix
Charles Leclerc delighted Ferrari fans by winning the Italian Grand Prix in a thriller at Monza. The Scuderia driver made the most of a one-stop strategy to beat the two-stopping McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Carlos Sainz secured fourth for the team with Lewis Hamilton and Haas’ George Russell completing the podium.
Leclerc’s victory is the first of his F1 career and comes in just his seventh race. The win puts him top of the drivers’ championship ahead of Max Verstappen, who finished sixth in Italy.
The Italian Grand Prix has been held 72 times, with the most recent edition in 2024. Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are the most successful drivers in Italy with five wins each, with McLaren also winning a record number of races at Monza.
The German Grand Prix
After a pair of thrilling races in Great Britain and Austria, Formula 1 heads to Germany this weekend for the German Grand Prix at Hockenheimring. The Germans are a country of petrolheads who enjoy their unrestricted autobahnen, and their companies like Mercedes-Benz and Audi make sensationally fast cars.
One of the most famous races at the track was in 2004 when Michael Schumacher won in his Ferrari F2004, claiming his fourth victory of the season and securing him the championship.
It will take a major push to return a German race to the calendar. But if there’s any hope for its return, it will need a star performer like Seb Vettel to revive its fortunes.
The Japanese Grand Prix
The third round of the 2025 season takes place this weekend at Suzuka, a track that has long been a favourite of drivers. But will McLaren’s Lando Norris or Ferrari’s Max Verstappen be able to grab the win?
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the Japanese Grand Prix ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jnr. A dramatic race was halted on the opening lap when RB’s Daniel Ricciardo and Williams’ Alex Albon collided at Turn 2. They were both able to continue, but the incident brought out the red flag. The remainder of the race went without further incidents.
